Oil painting on canvas "Orb"

"Orb"
Oil on Canvas
16 x 20 Inches
Sides are painted
Good Morning!
I've been doing a lot with landscape and floral still life lately. I thought you would like a break, so here's a painting that I did about a month ago. I needed something different, too.
I always find something new, even when I paint the same thing over and over. I do also fear getting too comfortable with a subject, or just painting something repeatedly because I can sell it. I don't want to fall into either trap, so I do try to mix things up.
Tomorrow, I paint outdoors again and will be seeking something different there too.
Until then.

Oil painting "Tangled up in Blue

"Tangled up in Blue"
Oil on canvas
24 x 34 Inches
Sides painted and gallery wrapped
Good Morning!
Recently I have been working on some larger paintings. I love these paintings because they give me a different direction and refresh my view.
As you know, I have two websites. http://www.de-yong.com/ is devoted to abstract and experimental work. I usually put my figures on that site as well. I consider them to be experimental. It just seems sensible to keep them separated from my other work. This painting will be featured there. Later today, I'll post a purchase link to it.
Enjoy,
Glynis
