Good Morning,

I've been working really hard, preparing for the art tour. Between that, workshops, sketch club, and the household items, I have neglected to show you some of my recent paintings.

This little painting is one I did recently. I have a few more to show as well as some works in progress. I have been playing a lot with my approach to landscape. I'm beginning to like them more when they aren't so realistic. This is just the beginning. I'm curious to see where the path will lead. I intend to follow it because it's fun. I enjoy the effort of seeing things differently and the results are satisfying.

Oil painting on canvas, Birdhouse (demo painting)

Good Morning,

As I mentioned in my last post, I recently did a brief demo at the mill show. It was a very overcast day with the threat of rain. I managed to find a little birdhouse on the short wall at the entrance. It was a fun little painting. I had time to chat with people and this painting didn't need a huge amount of concentration.

Yesterday, (tuesday) was the first pleinair painting day for the sketch club. The location was excellent and I painted a small study. I hope to use it as a reference for a larger painting.
Perfect weather and a lot of cows.
