Oil on canvas, "Storm at Gallup"

"Storm At Gallup"
Oil on canvas
8 x 10 inches
Sides painted, gallery wrapped
50. shipping 10.
Good Morning,
I've been thinking about the southwest. Being from Arizona, sometimes I just get tired of the green landscape here. I enjoy painting winter landscapes because the green disappears for awhile. But sometimes, I just have to pull out my photos from "home" and work from them.
This is the first of a group of these paintings.
Enjoy,
Glynis

Oil painting on canvas "Muffin and Jelly"

Muffin and Jelly
Oil on canvas
11 x 14 Inches
Sides are painted and gallery wrapped
sold
Good Morning,
Life is returning to normal after all the festivities here. I've been painting again and finally finished the muffin painting. I like doing the studies because it seems to help with difficult passages.
I purchased a lot of small canvases for daily paintings. I usually stretch my own, but keeping up with all the small paintings for the blog is difficult and time consuming. I found a deal on 8 x 10 inch canvases that are gallery wrapped, so I picked up a number of them. Hopefully I'll get back to a painting a day for the blog as well as progressing on larger works. There are a couple of juried shows coming up that I have done well with in the past. I'm trying to get ready for them as well. So much to do.
Until tomorrow,
Glynis

All about the HOUNDS!

Good Morning,
As you know, I have a very artistic greyhound named Winslow (www.winslowshop.com).

He's very popular and I spent most of the week and weekend having his birthday party. People were here from all over the country to celebrate his 9th birthday and 2 years cancer free. (he lost a leg to osteosarcoma).

Winslow raises money for greyhound charities. Currently one of his beautiful paintings and this "WINSLOW DOLL" are being raffled to help GREY HAVEN, a greyhound rescue that takes a lot of 3 legged dogs.

I hope you will support the arts and the hounds by buying a raffle ticket. Even if you don't win, you will be doing something really good.
Check it out.

The little painting shown with the doll is also an original Winslow painting.

Thanks for supporting hounds in need.
Until tomorrow,
Glynis
