Good Morning,
I've been working hard, updating websites, mailing lists, photographing paintings and doing general maintenance. Although very thankful for the internet, it is a lot to keep up with. It does get easier as I learn what to do.
The paintings above are the final images in the series, "Influx". There is some text on the one on the right. I'll save you the eyestrain:
"THE TOP CONCERNS IDENTIFIED: COMMUNITY CHANGE DUE TO THE INFLUX OF ETHNIC GROUPS."
This is a statement that was printed in a newsletter, written by one of our local representatives in reference to problem solving in our community. I was so affected by it that I painted the entire INFLUX series based on it. Art can come from the lowest of places.
These paintings collectively carry the title "Then and Now" . However, the grey painting alone is called "A Dirty Little Statement."
My INFLUX series is now finished. I could soapbox all day long, but I will leave the opinions to you, the viewer as I go back to my still life painting.
