Good Morning,

For the past few days, it's been very warm. People have been wearing shorts and it's obvious that spring is in the air. Tomorrow it will probably snow.

I painted with a friend today, working on a larger painting. It was a good day and it felt good to get away from the smaller canvas for awhile. I haven't finished the piece, but may show it here when I do.

Good Morning!

Another of the Driveby series, this small canvas features a hill, just outside of Upperville, VA. I spent some time going back and forth last fall when the leaves were changing. The colors were amazing. I'm beginning to enjoy painting these small landscapes.

It's been unseasonably warm here. The bulbs are coming up and other things are sprounting in the flowerbeds. I'm off to find my outdoor easel and get ready for spring. I always look forward to painting outdoors.

I just couldn't resist the title. Sometime I'll have to do an oil painting of Cyndi Lauper.

This little painting of sushi was fun because I've been painting in the kitchen and the lighting and shadows are different. It's good to have a change. I'll be back in the studio by week's end and painting on my new easel.
