Good Morning!
Something was wrong with Blogger yesterday and I was unable to upload anything. Hopefully you will get my blog today.
My last entry was prior to painting with my friend Ute. This was the still life I finally decided on for our weekly paint together. We both found rice to be difficult to paint, but the day was fun and we learned some things.
My new easel arrived yesterday. It looks like something from the art deco period. After 2.5 hours of assembly, it's together and I think I'm going to love it. I will let you know on Monday.
Until then, Enjoy,
Glynis

Good Morning!

I'm really looking forward to warmer weather and riper fruit. Now is the time when the plums, peaches and other fruits look so good and taste awful. I have to admit, they do make good subjects for painting.

Today, I'm painting with friends and it's my turn to set up a still life for us to paint from. I've been working on it since last night. It's not easy and most of the time mine never end up as they began. It's always a challenge.

Good Morning!
First, an apology for missing Monday morning. I took the weekend off to paint a larger painting and on the blog calendar it translated to Sunday and Monday. I'll know for next time.
If you would like to view my larger painting, it is available at http://www.de-yong.com/ The title is "Bitter Morning".
The small painting above is another in the Driveby Series. Many of my driveby paintings are (or will be) of the Middleburg, VA area. (I drive through that area weekly when I take Winslow for his swim. Now that he cannot run, he swims at the Animal Swim Center.) It's a beautiful country drive, no matter what season.
Enjoy,
Glynis
